The "IM-S-Timator®" is a work in progress and is primarily useful as a demonstration of Java Scripting capability. The "IM-S-Timator®" has no official status with any recognized or unrecognized organization and is unencumbered by warranties of any kind, expressed or implied.
That said, it is surprisingly accurate for about 90% of the boats it has been tested with. Results are frequently within plus or minus 12 seconds a mile. Major sources of inaccuracy include lack of data for hull shape, lifting surfaces, righting moment, pitching moment, rig weight and crew weight.
