I received this from VoiceintheWilderness:

"Dear Sir:

.... I mentioned at the forum that would like a

response from Mr. Joe Ventilacion, but he has not replied. They think I am

lying. Perhaps you can clarify your position. Just double click the

hyperlink.

To which I replied:

"10/23/2002

Dear [Voice],

Jose Ventilacion is in receipt of two debate propositions, one from Lanning Courtney for an oral discussion of one issue, and one for a written discussion from me on another issue.

Jose Ventilacion has not responded to the proposition (http://www.pipeline.com/~selfsoft/lccprop.doc) from Lanning Courtney which I sent him. He is in receipt of the proposition as the following link shows: http://www.pipeline.com/~selfsoft/receipts.htm.

Jose Ventilacion has not responded to the proposition from myself which I sent on August 27, 2002 (http://www.pipeline.com/~selfsoft/writprop.htm).

Jose Ventilacion wrote to bereans@edsamail.com.ph and said this:

"Mr. Kelly was given ample time to send his challenge. After my initial letter, it took him almost three months to respond, a waste of precious time. Secondly, he wants a written debate and presented other conditions which necessitated us to turn down his challenge (for lack of merit). Then, I left the US before he send his other proposals."

This statement shows that Jose Ventilacion is in receipt of my request for written exchange, and the documentation at my web site shows him in receipt of the other. Please read the document at http://www.pipeline.com/~selfsoft/emresp1.htm.

The INC Administration would not receive my correspondence.

It is indeed strange, and telling, that Jose Ventilacion will write to others as to why he and the INC Administration have turned down our offers, but he will not write to us with an answer or explanation.

All of the correspondence between myself and Jose Ventilacion and the INC Administration is thoroughly documented at http://www.pipeline.com/~selfsoft/inclinks.htm.

Concerning the questions I sent you, since Jose Ventilacion does not want to answer them, I am interested in hearing the answers from any INC member.

The issues remain the same, my position remains the same, and the propositions will remain posted at my web site. Jose Ventilacion said in his letter to me of April 12, 2002, "The questions you have sent me to answer will be answered during the debate.... (granting there will be one).... Until here, we will be waiting for your proposal to debate." Well, he has the propositions, but we have not heard a word from him.

I do not know how to be any more clear on these matters than this.

Sincerely,

Patrick Kelly"

Also, in a previous email to VoiceintheWilderness, I asked that the following questions be posted at the 84590 forum:

"1) How far in distance is far?

2) How far in time is far?

3) In what direction from Jerusalem is far?

4) What makes the Far East far east?

5) What is the Far East far east of?

6) When was the English phrase "Far East" first used?

7) What in Acts 2:39 forbids us from taking the meaning to be literal throughout? What in the context of Acts 2:39 forbids us from taking the phrase "to your children" literally?

8) Are INC ministers inspired just like the apostle Paul was inspired?

9) If the answer to the above question is, "Yes," would it not be proper for me to paste letters from INC ministers into my Bible so that now I'll have 67 or more inspired books instead of 66? If not, why not?

10) If the books of the Bible have been kept, and the number of them fixed, owing to the belief that the authors were inspired of God, are we to hold the writings of INC ministers to be on a par with the books of the Bible?

11) Where is the proof to the claim that the Catholic Church existed in the second century? Where is the instance of the word katholikos in a second century writing that proves the Catholic Church existed then?

12) Where is the historical proof that there was not a single faithful Christian on the earth in the second century?

13) What is the exact date (day/month/year) of the death of the very last faithful Christian?

14) Who baptized Felix Manalo?

15) Can anyone point me to a single manuscript of a New Testament book in Aramaic? I do not want a "version," but I want an Aramaic, word-for-word copy of an Aramaic autograph of a New Testament book."
