To download a software file to your computer, click on one of the links below.
When an "Opening" dialog box appears, select "save to disk". When a "File Download" dialog box appears, specify your download directory and select "save".Since some visitors do not use WIN.ZIP, we have supplied The Trainers as self-extractable (.exe) files. Double clicking on pwrdemose.exe will extract the pwrdemo.exe (THE PWR REACTOR TRAINER) to a default directory, C:\Windows\Temp. The default directory can be changed to a directory of your choice during extraction, and will create a new folder, if specified.
Likewise, double clicking on bwrdemose.exe will extract the bwrdemo.exe (THE BWR REACTOR TRAINER).
And, double clicking on xemdemose.exe will extract the xendemo.exe (THE XENON TRAINER).
fueling3 and sixfact1 are executable directly as downloaded.
The DEMOs (executable files) run on a standalone IBM compatible PC in a Windows environment.
A library file, Vbrun300.dll, must be present in the Windows/System directory in order to run the DEMOs. This file exists in some WINDOWS-95 System directories but is not believed to be present in WINDOWS-98. If present, you need not download the library.
After downloading the file(s), double click on the executable file to initiate the DEMO program. Select HELP on the menu-bar for a description of menu items and controls and read the demo-instructions for executing the program.

The DEMO programs provided here require understanding of certain basic reactor concepts and afford the student effective learning through practice in applying said concepts. The Reactor Trainers offer much more interactivity and learning potential because they involve hands-on reactor control of operational evolutions in real time.
