Hi Everyone!
I've finally got another Short Break together. I want to thank Dick for putting Short Break 48 together. It was a special Break, for the web site only, so go see it there if you missed it.
Spring is evident here in the northwest USA, and I am looking forward to gardening. Early rhododendrons and flowering cherry trees are in bloom already! It seems like winter was just last week. Wait... winter *was* just last week!
Dick has some nice links on the web page, including current Y2K info. If you are interested in seeing what steps our government has (and hasn't) made to fix the problems, follow the links. There are links to sites that show you how to prepare personally, too. My hope is that each of us is well-informed about the upcoming event. In my humble opinion, the worst thing we'll see will be the panic created by fear. Don't let the hype get to you and don't be at the other end of the spectrum; be informed and make some rational decisions about being prepared. We don't have to ignore the problem, nor do we have to over-react. Be informed, and be prepared for the level of inconviences you expect might occur.
