Miles Glen Joseph was born today! There was much celebration in the operating room, when the doctors and nurses and family of Miles got their first look at him.
Miles weighed in at 12 lbs., 8 oz. He is 22 inches long. His first cry was "Maaa," said with out much concern. Miles seems to be rather content with his new surroundings.
Grandmother Pam is exhausted after the 40 hour ordeal, which ended in an emergency C-Section. But now that it's over, she is OK again!

It's official! Spring is here (as well as Autumn in the Southern hemisphere)! I hope you have all fared well thru the winter/summer and are enjoying some nice weather. El Nino has certainly opened our eyes, hasn't it? Never underestimate Mother Nature.
News from this corner of the world...I have decided my children are out to get me. (Remember Three Weddings and a Funeral?) My three eldest children have planned weddings this year, and my fourth is graduating from high school. My daughter is expecting her first baby (due any second now). Joe, my Navy son, moved to Tennessee. He and his new bride have joined the ranks of those lovers who met on the Internet! It's a brave new world out there.
I went to Tennessee, to Joe's wedding. I took my mom, and my son, Aaron. We had a great time, and the kids had a beautiful wedding. It was my first visit to Tennessee, and I learned a great deal. I now know what hash browns, "smothered-covered-and-scattered" are! I also had some grits, and went down a holler. Before this, I never really knew what a holler was!
