Patrick Callaghan, the proprietor, bought the shop while he was attending the University of Illinois in 1978. He was trained in the art of tobacco blending in New York by legendary tobacconist Milt Sherman and studied at the prestigious Pro-Cigar college in the Dominican Republic. Pat recently retired from his Detective duties with the Illinois State Police. His mom, Lorraine, managed the shop for 35 years. She 'passed away' at age 93. She spent 30 years as a professional photographer before joining the tobacco business in 1972. If anything, you should stop in to hear about the late Lady Callaghan III.

Michael La Due is Deputy Mayor on the Champaign City Council, member of the Library Board and has been Jon's poet kapnismologist-in-residence for years. Retired Archeologist Jerry Moore has joined the staff while continuing to pursue other business endeavors, check out the Moore brothers in "Who's Who". .
