As the dawn sun's rays drifted down into the room, Usagi woke up to the tranquil sight of Mamoru, looking at both her and Chibi-Usa. "Umm... Good morning, Mamo-chan." Mamoru looked at her, and said "Good Morning." As she stretched, Usagi looked down at Chibi-Usa, who was nestled between them, and said "Adorable, isn't she?" Mamoru answered "Yes, she really is something... And someday, she'll be our daughter..."

Usagi whispered "Someday...", and then looked away. Mamoru said "What's wrong, Usako?" Usagi answered " Nothing...I...I'd just been wondering about something for a while and... Why do you love me?" Mamoru looked shocked. "Why? What do you mean?" Usagi replied "Is it because of destiny...because of the moon princess, and earth prince? Or Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen? If I was just plain Usagi... would we still be together, like this?

She looked up at him, into his shocked blue eyes. "It's not like we had the greatest start... I threw a test paper at your head, and you insulted my hair. I thought that you were just this wierd guy, who was wearing a tuxedo in the middle of a day. If it weren't for Sailor Moon, or for Princess Serenity...?

Mamoru answered hesitantly " I... I don't know. But I would like to think that even without destiny, we would have gotten together somehow. We kept bumping into each other, and sooner or later, I would have seen you. My Usako..."

Usagi replied, "But I'm not very special. I'm a crybaby, and I don't do well in school. I'm not very serious, and without Sailor Moon, or Serenity,I'm just a normal girl..." Mamoru looked at her closely. " I don't love you because you're Sailor Moon, or because you were Serenity. I love you because you are strong, and brave, loving and caring. You didn't know how to be Sailor Moon, but you gave it your best. You always tried to protect your friends, and never gave up, or ran away."

He smiled, and held her closely. "But, we are who we are. I am Mamoru Chiba, but I am also Tuxedo Kamen, and Prince Endymion, and will be King Endymion, someday. And because you are all these other people... Usagi Tsukino, Sailor Moon, Princess Serenity and someday, Neo-Queen Serenity, I find different things to love about all of them.

Usagi smiles. "I love you, Mamo-chan, and I'll always love you. When I thought you had been killed, or had turned against me... I thought my heart would break. I don't want to just be pieces on destiny's board... I don't want to repeat what happened so long ago... but I will. I don't think I could go on, if you were gone..."

Mamoru nods and whispers "When I saw you falling through that black abyss, and thought that you'd been destroyed by Sailor Saturn... those moments were the worst in my life. I will always be with you."

Usagi reaches over, and grabs his hand. " I'll never let you go..." Mamoru kisses her on the forehead. "Never..."
