This manga series is definitely one of the most intense I've ever looked through. The "look" of the characters is very shoujo, and a little more- it takes a bit of getting used to. However, it is very good for portraying the passion that this series is about. Take a look.
By the way, I have some Zetsuai Postcards on Ebay for auction (ends sometime on the 5/23/00!) so take a look =)

-- Takuto is the more passive one, in that he is the one being desperately chased by Koji. However, that doesn't mean that Takuto doesn't want Koji either... in fact, probably just the opposite. This is really evident in the later mangas, especially during the more rough and passionate scenes.
As you see here,
the two of them can look really nice together...

These covers are the ones I really love. Stark and pale, yet portraying intense passion, the "Desperate Love" between the two really shines through. Blood and love is a theme running through the series, and these really show it off.
Takuto and Nanjo, white on white. Blood and eyes of rage. All of it so eloquently shown here in the 4th manga cover.
And here, in the 5th manga cover, the infamous tears of blood- this is really evident in the Cathexis music videos too, especially in 20xx Zetsu-ai, which I don't have... *sigh*
