Dear Good Doctor,

I am having problems with my girlfriend, SueAnn. Although she insists she still loves me, lately she doesn't always seem that interested. She missed my softball game last week, and then this Monday, when I called her at home, a man answered. He said he was the TV repairman. Hell, I can't even get a repairman to come out to my trailer in the daytime, and she had one over at her place at ten oclock at night! Then when I called again last night, some guy answered the phone who said he was fixing her washing machine. Doctor, is this just a case of bad appliances? Or should I be worried?

The doctor's reply:

There are some household appliances that just need to be serviced on a regular basis. And it is probably too late to worry. Besides, this sounds like a problem that will go away all by itself.
