DVD: Lantana
The lantana is an Australian bush with intercrossing thorny branches. A woman is found dead in a lantana. How did a network of intersecting lives lead to this end? Terrific performances by Anthony LaPaglia (using his own accent!), Geoffrey Rush, and Kerry Armstrong lead a superb ensemble cast. Low-key, adult, well-done.

Movies to look out for: Standing in the Shadow of Motown. A superb documentary about the session musicians who played on all the great Motown hits; these guys recorded more #1 hits than the Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley--combined. With terrific music including a reunion concert in 2000, you will leave the theater informed and entertained.

Lost in La Mancha by Louis Pepe and Keith Fulton. A documentary about the implosion of Terry Gilliam's Don Quixote film.
