In case you are curious about my internet name perhaps I should explain. Hapgood is a character from "Anyone Can Whistle" which is one of my favorite Broadway plays by my favorite composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Click the link for a synopsis.

I am a huge fan of Broadway and specifically plays by Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim makes Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber look like an amateur and my reason can be found by clicking the link (Marty). Sondheim is a master in that he writes both his own music and lyrics (rare on Broadway) to achieve unique works of art. The best web page that I've found so far for this giant of the theatre is The Stephen Sondheim Stage which includes many articles, summaries, news updates, and a discussion group about this playwright and genius.
If you do decide to hang out here for long you may wish to learn a little bit about the two favorite divas of Sondheim fans. Bernadette Peters and Angela Lansbury. Contrary to the die hard fans, they are both equally wonderful.
